June 23, 1611: Henry Hudson, son and seven loyal crew members set adrift in Hudson Bay

Today is the 400th anniversary of the abandonment of Henry Hudson, his son, and seven loyal crew members in, what would later be called, Hudson Bay. Henry Hudson was the captain of the ship Discovery. After a mutiny, the 9 men were set adrift in a small boat in the bay, never to be heard from again.
