Today marks the 135th birthday of our 31st president, Herbert Clark Hoover. President served from 1929 to 1933. President Hoover, the son of a Quaker blacksmith, was an engineer, administrator, and humanitarian. On August 10, 1954, he was quoted as saying, "The imperative need of this nation at all times is the leadership of Uncommon Men or Women." To learn more, click on these links:
