African American Children

In honor of National Black History Month, I'm posting some federal documents that relate to children in the African American community. All of these can be accessed online for free.

An Activity book for African American families: helping children cope with crisis. (2003) This one can actually be picked up at the Earl K. Long Library for free, as supplies last.

A guide for African American families: helping children cope with crisis. (2003)

African American children in foster care: HHS and congressional actions could help reduce proportion in care. (2008)

Parenting practices and obesity in low-income African-American preschoolers. (2005)

Don't forget to stop by our display to see other interesting federal documents!
